Nuno Espírito Santo is head coach of West Ham United, taking charge of the Premier League club in the summer of 2024. The Portuguese manager arrived at the London Stadium tasked with restoring competitive ambition after a period of inconsistency, bringing his considerable experience of English football and European competition to the role. His appointment represented the club's bid to establish tactical stability and develop a coherent long-term strategy.
Nuno began his managerial career after a journeyman playing stint as a goalkeeper across Portugal, Greece, and England. He established himself as a thoughtful, defensive-minded coach at Rio Ave before earning widespread recognition during a successful spell at Valencia. He subsequently managed Wolverhampton Wanderers through their Championship promotion and into the Premier League, achieving back-to-back seventh-place finishes. He later took charge at Tottenham Hotspur and AS Roma, winning the Italian Cup with Roma in 2023 before his move to West Ham.
