Rui Borges is the head coach of Sporting CP, one of Portugal's most prestigious clubs, a position he has held since December 2024. Under his stewardship, Sporting have secured both the Primeira Liga and Taça de Portugal titles in the 2024–25 season, establishing him as a manager capable of delivering silverware at the highest level.
Borges began his football career as a winger in Portuguese clubs before transitioning into management in 2017. He spent several years in lower divisions before breaking into the top flight in 2023 as head coach of Moreirense. Following a spell at Vitória de Guimarães, his impressive displays earned him the opportunity to take charge at Sporting, where he has immediately proven his credentials by winning two major trophies in his first season.
